Seeking an Analytics Manager to oversee a team of talented engineers and drive key data initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering teams to define project objectives, resolve technical challenges, and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Python, SQL, and data modeling to provide actionable insights, develop advanced statistical and machine learning models, and create powerful visualizations that influence strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of analytics engineers, managing project scope, addressing technical roadblocks, and ensuring the team meets deadlines.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, applying software engineering best practices from inception through to implementation and final presentation.
- Utilize Python and SQL (dbt preferred) to design, build, and optimize data pipelines for transforming, validating, and aggregating data from multiple sources.
- Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards to track key business metrics and support exploratory data analysis for various stakeholders.
- Develop and apply statistical models and machine learning techniques to analyze data, forecast trends, and test hypotheses.
- Convert data findings into clear, actionable recommendations and create phased execution plans to drive measurable improvements in business outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to stay aligned with the evolving data landscape and business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- 5 to 9 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
- Proven expertise in SQL, with experience in dbt (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, for data analysis and manipulation.
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, and OLAP structures.
- Familiarity with data science methodologies and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
- Understanding of data governance principles, including data stewardship, traceability, and lineage.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
